There are 7,077 companies operating in Poland, where one of the shareholders or ultimate beneficiaries is a citizen of Belarus or a Belarusian legal entity, according to the data of the Center for Economic Information.
The active growth in the number of Belarusian companies began in 2021, but Belarusians founded the most active companies in 2022 and 2023. In 2024, the rate of registration of new Belarusian companies decreased slightly, but still remains high. In less than six months, 687 new companies with the participation of Belarusians have appeared in Poland.
Some of the businesses of recent years are projects of the latest wave of emigrants who moved their activities from Belarus to Poland.
Most Belarusian companies are engaged in the transport sector. Then, by number, there are companies engaged in software, construction, and online trading. The directions of Belarusian businesses are also popular – wholesale trade, finishing works, hairdressing and beauty salon services, catering.
Every second company with Belarusian capital operates in Warsaw. Bialystok and Biala Podlaska, which are close to the Belarusian border, are in second and fourth places among Polish cities. Wroclaw is also among the three cities popular with Belarusian business.
