At the meeting of the commission on the naming of urban toponymic objects, the establishment of commemorative signs on the territory of the Rivne city territorial community, several decisions were made on names and renaming.
In particular, it was decided to name the project street number 5 in honor of the Belarusian Miraslau Lazouski.
Miraslau’s friends told Nasha Niva that the Kalinouski Regiment had written a petition to the Rivne administration, his former colleagues had prepared an argument and did not even expect that the decision would be made so quickly.
Miraslau Lazouski, one of the founders of the “White Legion” in Belarus in the 1990s, a popularizer of Belarusian culture, died on May 16, 2023 in the battle of Bakhmut, Ukraine.
