Memorial plaques in honor of Belarusian and Ukrainian heroes want to be installed in Irpen

Two new memorial plaques are planned to be installed in Irpen in memory of the fallen heroes.

One of the plaques will be installed on Varshavska Street in honor of Dzmitry Apanasovich, a Belarusian who died during the defense of Irpen in March 2022. Commenting on the initiative, Aliaksey Frantskevich, Head of the Vilna Belarus Foundation, noted:

– It has been more than a year since we submitted an application for the installation of this plaque and participated in its development. We are grateful to the local authorities, especially the Department of Culture. This is the first memorial plaque of “Terror” (Dzmitry Apanasovich’s call sign), all the others will be made on this layout. Exactly. It is worth remembering that a full-scale offensive took place from the territory of Belarus. These columns marched on Kiev, and thanks to the Belarusian heroes, who were among the first to defend the Kiev region.

The second plaque will appear on Kotlyarevsky Street in memory of Vitaly Dudai, the Hero of Ukraine. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, this Irpen citizen joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine and gave his life for his country on March 21, 2023 in the Donetsk region.
