Belarusians took the second place in terms of the number of applications submitted to the Office of Foreigners of Poland for a residence permit since the beginning of the year. 45 thousand applications from Belarusian citizens have been registered here in 9 months.
The first place in the number of applications for a residence permit belongs to Ukrainians — 268 thousand applications. The Belarusians are followed by the citizens of Georgia – 15 thousand applications. The fourth and fifth places go to the citizens of India and Colombia – 13 and 11 thousand applications, respectively.
According to the number of issued residence permits, citizens of Ukraine also occupy the first place – 293 thousand positive decisions. Belarusians received 32,900 residence permits in 9 months of the year. The third place among the citizens of Georgia is 7.8 thousand.
In addition, the department reported that since the beginning of the year, 450 thousand applications have been received from foreigners for obtaining a residence permit, a negative decision has been made on 20 thousand applications.
