The installation of an electronic barrier on the Polish-Belarusian border on the sections of the Istochanka and Svisloch rivers in Podlaskie voivodeship has been completed. This is reported by the Polish Border Guard Service.
In total, more than 500 poles and 1,300 surveillance cameras were installed on this section of the border. It was decided to build an electronic barrier in connection with numerous attempts to cross the Polish-Belarusian border through the border rivers. The cost of the fence was more than 85 million zlotys (that is, about 20 million euros).
