The Belarusian Hub Novaya Ziamlya has completed moving to a new premises at 5 Rocha Street in Bialystok. At this time, renovation works are being carried out here to prepare the space for the new hub concept.
“For a long time, we have provided a platform for any initiatives, organizations, our diaspora and Belarusians in exile for free. But, unfortunately, and perhaps fortunately, I don’t know how it will turn out, I have to open a commercial platform that will be accessible to all residents of Bialystok, and which, we are sure, will allow us to support the initiatives, organizations, and events of the hub in the future. We do repairs on our own, so slowly. We need help with dyeing, cleaning, plastering walls, we need to hang doors, make a shelving,” says the head of the board of the Novaya Ziamlya Foundation Nadzeya Salauyova.
The official opening promises to be bright and memorable — in honor of the new stage of the hub’s activities, a notable ball from the “Invicus 1863” Belarusian reenactors club will be held on February 15. This event will become an important moment in the life of the Belarusian community in Bialystok, when the hub opens its doors to new meetings, projects and cultural initiatives.
