The Belarusian language was spoken at the Council of Europe

Artsiom Vashkevich, a 22-year-old Belarusian, became the winner of the Council of Europe’s competition “Human Rights. Camera. Action!” 

The award was presented during the World Forum for Democracy, which was held at the Palace of Europe in Strasbourg.

Artsiom Vashkevich now lives in Poland. He is a student, the area of his social activity is human rights, and the main direction is the abolition of the death penalty. “I wanted to make a video in the Belarusian language. And I really like that, as a result, the Belarusian language was heard in the Council of Europe, in the Palace of Europe,” the guy said in a conversation with Radio Liberty.
