The draft voivodeship budget for 2025 is presented in Bialystok

The financial plan provides for revenues of more than 1.8 billion zlotys and expenses of almost 1.95 billion zlotys. The deficit of 140 million zlotys is planned to be covered through European funds. The Fund for the Support of the gminas and counties remains with the amount of 10 million zlotys. Among other things, expenses for the cultural sector of Podlasie were announced by a member of the Voivodeship Council Jacek Piorunek:

– 189 million in the budget for 2025. If we talk about the cultural structures that we finance, since we have the largest number of cultural units of all voivodeship governments in the country. 20 units-12 independent, 9 branches of the Podlaskie Museum. The cost of maintaining all these structures is actually this amount.

According to the draft budget for 2025, the same Belarusian Culture Center will receive 2,300,000 zlotys for its activities. A significant part of the money will be spent on the protection of monuments – 9.4 million zlotys. 3 million zlotys were allocated for the start of construction of the memorial museum of Blessed Priest Jerzy Popieluszko in the trenches. The first reading of the draft budget will take place on November 26.
