In Belarus, on the highway “Babruisk-Mazyr-border of Ukraine”, at the entrance to the Homel region from the side of Babruisk, the ”musical road” has begun to function.
The mechanism of its operation is very simple: red transverse lines made of cold-applied plastic are applied in a special way to a section of special markings on the traffic lane on the right side. As soon as the car hits them at speed, a noise effect is created that can be heard in the car interior and which resembles the melody of the song “Belarus” performed by the “Pesnyary” group.
According to the police, the main task of the innovation is to prevent car accidents due to drivers sleeping at the wheel and driving into a ditch due to loss of driving.
There are no analogues of such an innovation in the Republic of Belarus. However, the world’s first musical road was created in Denmark in October 1995, that is, 29 years ago.
