The British company “Unilever”, which produces more than 400 different brands of cosmetics, household chemicals and food, has completed the sale of its business in Belarus and Russia.
The assets of “Unilever” were bought by the Russian company “Arnest Group”, which deals with cosmetics and household chemicals. One of the most famous products of the Arnest Group is the insect repellent “Dichlofos”.
“The subject of sale is the entire “Unilever” business in Russia and the company’s four plants in this country. Our business in Belarus is also included in the sale. Over the past year, we have been carefully preparing the “Unilever Russia” business for a possible sale. This work was very difficult and involved the separation of IT platforms and supply chains, as well as the translation of trademarks into cyrillic. The completion of the sale completes the presence of “Unilever Russia” in the country,” the company said in a statement.
The terms of the agreement are not announced.
“Unilever” produces more than 400 different types of cosmetics, household chemicals and supplies. Among them are the popular brands in Belarus “Rexona”, “Dove”, “Axe”, “Cif”, “Domestos”, “Lipton”, “Brooke Bond” and others. The company also owned the “Ingman Ice Cream” factory located in Homel until 2016.
