Transparent banners appeared on the streets of Bialystok

The exhibition entitled “The Past through the eyes of the Present” is open in Bialystok and tells about the last year before the beginning of the Soviet occupation.

The new signs are part of the exposition dedicated to Bialystok in 1939.

“We also wanted to show how Bialystok has changed in the perspective of these few decades. How is Bialystok of 1939-41 different from the Bialystok that we know today. Therefore, these signs were placed in places well known to the residents of Bialystok and, I think, to people all over the country. In places that we can call the perlins of our city, such as the courtyard of the Branitsky Palace,” said Piotr Bosko, an employee of the Museum of the Memory of Siberia.

The Museum of the Memory of Siberia has placed seven corresponding signs in the city center: two of them appeared at the Branitsky Palace, the others on Lipowa Street and Kosciuszko Market Square.
