The Foundation “Free Belarus” has sent an official appeal to the President, the Prime Minister and the Chairman of the Parliament of Ukraine with a request for assistance in legalizing Belarusians in this country.
“The meaning is the recognition of completed passports at the time of military status, the cancellation of criminal records, apostilization. That is, the solution to the cost reductions faced by Belarusians today. There are no registered Belarusians in the legislation. There are foreigners. These proposals were imported by order of the Council of Ministers to recognize completed passports during the military state in Ukraine,” says Aliaksei Frantskevich, head of the “Free Belarus” Foundation.
According to Aliaksei Frantskevich, tens of thousands of Belarusian citizens now live on the territory of Ukraine. Some asked to acquire Ukrainian citizenship, but faced difficulties. Accordingly, the diplomatic mission of Belarus in Ukraine has stopped its work and does not participate in the legalization of Belarusians in any way.
