In Warsaw and Bialystok the political prisoner journalist Andrzej Poczobut has been remembered

Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski promises to continue trying to free journalist and activist of the Polish minority in Belarus Andrzej Poczobut from the Lukashenka’s prison. A solidarity rally with a political prisoner was held in Bialystok on April 25.

Radoslaw Sikorski, making a report, expressed concern about the situation of the Polish national minority, which has become a “hostage of the Lukashenko regime.”

“The Belarusian authorities bear full responsibility for the worst state of relations in history. In the past, all Polish governments have sought dialogue. Today we are desperate,” the Polish minister said. Sikorski stressed that Poland will seek the release of well-known journalist, public figure and member of the Union of Poles of Belarus Andrzej Poczobut.

The main goal is the free Belarus, where there will be no political prisoners and there will be no Polish figures arrested for their own position, this was the main idea conveyed by the participants of the rally in Bialystok. There was also gratitude for the solidarity of the Belarusians present at it, who always make up the majority at such events.
