The entrepreneurs in Podlasie have appealed to the representatives of the Sejm with a demand to open border crossings (primarily “Bobrowniki”) on the border with Belarus. Or, if this is not done, to introduce a program to support cross—border businesses that have suffered losses due to the closed border.
Deputy Speaker of the Senate Maciej Żywno agrees with the demands of the agreement of Polish entrepreneurs United East. ”We demand that talks with Podlaskie entrepreneurs from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and administration, here through the regional representative, which is the Voivode, continue and that a plan for reaching the possible opening of at least one crossing or a plan for supporting entrepreneurs to survive this period clearly appear, ” said Maciej Żywno.
According to him, he intends to send to the minister of internal affairs and administration no later than Monday a request to open one of the border crossings in Podlaskie Voivodeship.
”This is unfair to Podlaskie entrepreneurs, because the crossing in Terespol works, and from the Lithuanian side, too, so this movement takes place in an almost normal way, but with the omission of border crossings prepared for many years modernized in the Podlaskie Voivodeship,” added Maciej Żywno.
In his opinion, at least one border crossing in the Podlaskie Voivodeship should operate as it operates in the Lublin Voivodeship.
