The Belarusian dictator allowed to shoot civilians without warning

Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenka has amended the decree ”On the combined arms charters of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus”. For example, there have been changes in the Statute of the Internal Service regarding the use of weapons by military personnel against citizens. If earlier the military was obliged not only to warn about the use of weapons, but also to shoot in the air, now a warning shot is not required.

An article has been added to the Charter of the internal service of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, which allows military personnel to use “firearms, special equipment, combat and special equipment against citizens while performing their assigned tasks”.

“A soldier has the right to use weapons, taking into account the existing situation, the nature of the crime, the administrative offense and the identity of the offender. The prosecutor is informed about the injury or death of a citizen as a result of the use of weapons, special equipment and combat equipment by military personnel. A serviceman is not responsible for the use of weapons in accordance with the application of military regulations”, – reads the new version of the military regulations approved by Lukashenka.

The charter states that the potential use of “physical force, special equipment, combat and special equipment” and its consequences must be clearly understood by the person against whom they will be used, and the military must provide medical assistance to this person after injury.
