The rally in memory of political prisoner Aliaksandr Kulinich was held in Bialystok

On April 11, 14 people came to the square of free Belarus under the walls of the Consulate of the Republic of Belarus, where they honored the memory of political prisoner Alexander Kulinich, who died in custody.

Kulinich was 51 years old. 30 years ago he served with the current representative of the Joint Transitional Cabinet in the brigade of paratroopers in Brest and was a lieutenant colonel in the reserve. He was detained this year on February 29 for comments in support of Ukraine and against repression in Belarus. He died a week before the trial. The official cause of death is “coronary heart disease”.

The protesters expressed outrage at another death in a Belarusian prison. They noted that no one in Belarus is protected from such deaths, and recalled the mistreatment of political prisoners. People brought flowers and candles to the square of free Belarus, many prayed for the deceased.

The rally in Bialystok was spontaneous, and took place in a quiet mode in the presence of the police. Those present honored the memory of the deceased with a minute of silence.
